    Sheet metal is arguably the most popular metal material form used in almost every industry, with thickness ranging from a few tenth of millimeter to 6 millimeter. There are countless possibilities to work with sheet metal such as bending, stamping, drawing, rolling, and punching.
    Bending is a process in which a force is applied to a piece of sheet metal, causing it to bend at an angle and form the desired shape, such as V-shape, U-shape, or channel shape along a straight axis. A typical machine used for bending is called press brake, and our partners are equipped with press brakes ranging from 20ton to 200 ton.
    Stamping is also called pressing, where a piece of sheet metal is placed into a stamping press, and the tool and die forms the metal into a desired shape. Stamping could be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produces the final form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a series of stages.
    Drawing is a process using tensile forces to stretch metal sheets. As the metal is drawn or pulled, it stretches thinner, into a desired shape and thickness. When the workpiece is drawing longer than its diameter, it’s normally called deep drawing, to produce parts that look like cups or boxes.
    Punching is a process where a tool, or punch, is forced through the workpiece to create a hole, producing a scrap called slug. Depending on the material being punched this slug may be reused or discarded. Punching is often the most cost-effective method for making holes in sheet metal in medium to high production volumes. When a specially shaped punch is used to create multiple usable parts from a sheet metal the process is known as blanking.
